Original Value

Export Only

The current value of the Field in your store’s base language.
This column is provided as a reference so that you (or your translators) can see the source text side-by-side with each translation. It is ignored on Import – to change the base-language value of an entity, use the corresponding entity sheet (Products, Pages, etc.) instead of the Translations sheet.

Translations

The Translations column group contains a set of three columns for each Language enabled in your Shopify store. The locale two-letter code is appended to the end of each column header, for example, Translation Value: lv.

Column Description / Example Value
Translation Value: <Language Code> The translated text for the Language specified in the column header.
This is the column you actually edit to translate your store. Leave it empty to remove an existing translation for that language and Field.

Allowed Values

Text

Translation Is Outdated: <Language Code>

Export Only

Shopify flags a Translation as outdated when the base-language value of the Field has changed after the Translation was last saved. The Translation still shows in the storefront, but Shopify warns merchants that it may no longer match the source text.
On export, this column shows TRUE for Translations that Shopify has flagged as outdated, and empty for others – useful for filtering your file down to just the Translations that need a refresh. It cannot be set or imported by a user; Shopify adjusts it automatically.

Possible Values
TRUE
FALSE
Example
TRUE
Translation Updated At: <Language Code>

Export Only

The date and time when the Translation for this Field and language was last updated in Shopify.
Useful for sorting and auditing – for example, to find all translations that haven’t been touched in a year.

Possible Values

Date & Time

Example
2026-05-22 09:51:41 +0300

Export Filters

In the Matrixify app, you can apply filters to export only specific items from your Shopify Store.
When creating a new export, select what you wish to export, and under that entity, click on the Filters button.

Note: the total displayed item count and estimated time won’t be affected by the filters applied.

Filter Description
Entity Limits the Export to Translations of selected Entity types only.
